FOURTH VIRTUAL DINNER DANCE FROM YOUR HOME
Sunday, May. 31, 2020 - 5:00 PM
The Italian American Club will have its fourth Virtual Dinner Dance on Sunday, May 31.
Once again Il Pavone will prepare delicious gourmet meals, packaged and delivered to Rossmoor for pick up. The menu will include an entrée choice of Chicken Cacciatore with polenta or Snapper Piccata with boiled potatoes dressed in butter and parsley. Both entrées will come with sautéed zucchini. The meal will include Spring Salad with Italian dressing and Gorgonzola cheese on the side and bread and butter. Dessert will be Cheesecake with seasonal strawberries.
The price for each dinner is $32, payable by check directly to Il Pavone at the time of pick-up. Each dinner will be individually packaged in microwavable containers. The meals will be delivered to Rossmoor and ready for pick at the Hillside parking lot starting at 5 p.m. on the day of the event.
Our previous virtual dinner dances have been a great success. Nearly 60 Rossmoor residents enjoyed the delicious meals at our last event. The delivery and pick up was well organized and went smoothly. Several individuals participated in a lively “cocktail hour” on Zoom, while a virtual disc-jockey attempted to provide background music of favorite Italian songs.
The Italian American Virtual Dinner Dance is open to all Rossmoor residents. The Cocktail Hour will begin at our usual time of 5:15 PM – or since it’s virtual–whenever you like. (Note: BYOB! –you will have to provide your own liquor and wine.)
Send your reservations via email to Donna Gonzales at DonnaMGonzales@ItalianAmericanClub.Org . She can be reached at 925-891-4396. The deadline for reservations is Thursday May 28. Specify the number of meals ($32 each), and be sure to include phone and cell phone number as well as email address. In addition, let Gonzales know if participating in the music and/ or conversation. An invitation and instructions will be sent by email.
This is a great way to banish the blues, have some fun and a gourmet meal, while helping our friends at Il Pavone. Like all restaurants, they are struggling to keep employees on the payroll during this crisis. They truly appreciate our patronage and support.
